IN BRIEF:
  • Jubilee Asset Management has opened its fourth financial advisory centre in Meru to serve individuals, businesses and institutions across the Mt Kenya and Upper Eastern regions.
Jubilee Asset Management Limited has opened a financial advisory centre in Meru, its fourth in Kenya, as the investment manager seeks to expand its reach beyond major cities
The centre, located at Royal Business Park along Tom Mboya Street, will offer free financial advisory services and investment support to individuals, businesses and institutions in the Mt Kenya and Upper Eastern regions.
The opening extends the company's physical presence beyond Nairobi and Mombasa, with Meru selected as a commercial hub serving neighbouring towns including Maua, Timau and Isiolo.
Jubilee Asset Management's Meru office brings its network of financial advisory centres to four. The company operates two centres in Nairobi, at Jubilee Exchange Building along Kaunda Street and The Chancery on Valley Road, and another at Nyali Centre Mall in Mombasa.
Jubilee Asset Management acting chief executive Cliff Bakashaba said the expansion was driven by the need to make professional investment advice more accessible to people outside major urban centres.
"As regional economies grow, access to professional financial guidance becomes increasingly important. Our presence in Meru is about bringing investment advisory services closer to individuals and businesses, helping them make informed decisions about saving, investing and building long-term financial security," said Mr Bakashaba.
The centre will provide personalised investment support to customers seeking solutions aligned with their personal and business financial goals.
Jubilee Asset Management's expansion comes as its assets under management (AUM) have grown to more than Sh276 billion since the company was established in December 2022.
The portfolio comprises more than Sh35 billion in retail investment funds and over Sh241 billion in institutional funds, according to the company.
The Meru office will operate alongside the company's digital investment services through its JAMHub self-service portal, which allows customers to open and manage investment accounts remotely.
Kiogora Mbui, chief executive of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Meru chapter, said the expansion could improve access to investment advice and capital for businesses operating outside major urban centres.
"When leading financial institutions expand beyond major urban centres, they bring trusted advice, investment solutions and long-term capital closer to the businesses and communities driving regional growth," said Mr Mbui.
"A stronger physical presence in towns such as Meru can deepen financial inclusion, build confidence and help local enterprises turn opportunity into sustainable growth.”
